Shakeeta Torres is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that provides services to individuals, families, and couples of any race, gender, culture, and background. She graduated with honors with a Master of Social Work Degree from The University of North Carolina of Pembroke in 2011 and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 2006. She has been serving many communities as a Social Worker since 2007 with experience ranging in Hospice Care, Elderly Care, Child Protective Services, and Mental Health.
Mrs. Torres is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, a Certified Human Trafficking Services Provider, Inspirational Speaker & Educator, and a Certified Life Coach and Mentor. She has a variety of trainings in treating Trauma (PTSD), Anxiety, Grief, Depression, Perinatal Mood Disorders, Coaching Couples, and Anger Management.
Mrs. Torres’s provides therapy from an Eclectic Approach which means she combines different treatment modalities to formulate a plan that best fits her clients’. Her personality is described as down to earth, relatable, non-judgmental, transparent, joyful, energetic, full of passion, and drive. She truly believes that as long as you are breathing there is still Hope and she speaks life into anyone who crosses her path. Mrs. Torres has received Evidenced Based Training in the following:

- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
- Interpersonal Psychotherapy

Mrs. Torres is also the Founder and President of Doing It For The Kingdom Inc., a 501c3 non profit organization who’s vision is to provide services to Survivors of Human Trafficking. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family and friends and literally laugh for no reason, watch her favorite T.V. Shows such as, “This is Us” and teach Bible Study with her Spouse.
