Shakeeta Torres is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that provides Faith Based Mental Health Services in North Carolina. As a Survivor of Childhood Trauma, Mrs. Torres understands the importance of healing and walking in freedom. She enjoys helping her clients’ by walking with them on their journey to Healing. Mrs. Torres’s main mission is to, “EmPower Christians to UnPack PAIN, Discover their PASSIONS so they can Walk Boldly into their God Given PURPOSE”. So many Believers are Suffering in Silence and lack a safe place for them to heal and receive spiritual and clinical support. So many are struggling with Anxiety, Grief, Depression, & Trauma that prevents them from truly walking in Freedom and boldly in Purpose. Whether you are new in your Christian Faith or Seasoned, she is more than equipped to help you process your most intimate struggles.
Providing a safe place for her my clients’ to heal without judgement is so important to her. Many struggle with self condemnation. Many continue to “Suffer in Silence” due to fear of being judged, and she feels that it is not her job to condemn them for their mistakes and choices but to truly provide an outlet for them as they process and heal.
Mrs. Torres graduated with honors with a Master of Social Work Degree from The University of North Carolina of Pembroke in 2011 and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 2006. She has been serving many communities as a Social Worker since 2007 with experience ranging in Hospice Care, Elderly Care, Child Protective Services, and Mental Health. Mrs. Torres is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, a Certified Human Trafficking Services Provider, Inspirational Speaker & Educator, and a Certified Life Coach and Mentor. She has a variety of trainings in treating Trauma (PTSD), Anxiety, Grief, Depression, Perinatal Mood Disorders, Couples Counseling, & Anger Management.
Mrs. Torres’s provides therapy from an Eclectic Approach which means she combines different treatment modalities to formulate a plan that best fits her clients’. Her personality is described as down to earth, relatable, non-judgmental, transparent, joyful, energetic, full of passion, and drive. She truly believes that as long as you are breathing there is still Hope and she speaks life into anyone who crosses her path. Mrs. Torres has received Evidenced Based Training in the following:

Mrs. Torres is also the Founder and President of Doing It For The Kingdom Inc., a 501c3 non profit organization who’s vision is to provide services to Survivors of Human Trafficking.
